Linux has many distributions with their own look and feel and more. We use basic distributions with limited eye candy. In other words: Xubuntu ([[https://www.ubuntu.com/desktop|Ubuntu]] with [[https://www.xfce.org/|XFCE]]. THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION! As our test system (16.04) we use an AMD A8-3870. Radeon grapics are integrated (Radeon HD6550D). At first we did not install proprietary AMD drivers. After first start BricsCAD v16 showed 100% CPU core usage while rapitly increasing RAM usage. After killing BricsCAD and rebooting this problem was over. However the crosshair remained on screen as a stamp. Next step: Settings > Settings > Program options > Display > GL Swap Mode to "Call glCopyPixels to copy back to front, don't call glXSwapBuffers." ([0], default [2]). |
